Great article. I completely agree about the turnover or attrition KPI - one of the dumbest performance indicators. We should celebrate if an employee we helped develop gets a great job in another company. Fantastic. Hopefully we have an advocate. Likewise, people leaving that we were happy to see go. Great. There’s always good, bad and indifferent attrition. Rolling it all up into one number is idiotic and tells you nothing.
